This is one of my favorite napping positions. With my back legs almost touching my ears.
Hope you are all enjoying this last day of January.

Saturday Stuff

Hello friends. I want you to know that I offered to take Busby's place yesterday and go to the Vet. My Mom said no. Dr Good doesn't care about MY pee, she only cares about Busby's pee. Whatever. Unfortunately, Busby couldn't give the Vet a good sample yesterday. Busby tried, but no luck. The Vet will see him again on Tuesday, AFTER our Mom gives him some Sub Q fluids so that he has some pee to give the Vet. As you can see, Busby was disappointed.

On a more upbeat (and less pee-related) note, our friend Genevieve Fillmore is celebrating her 90th birthday today! Gen considers our Moms to be her adopted daughters. There is going to be a big party today to celebrate.

She looks great, doesn't she? Happy 90th birthday Gen! We love you!
Have a great weekend everyone!
ps-if we don't make it by to visit today, it's because our Mom is at Gen's party. We'll try to come by later if we can.

Pee in a Cup Friday

Hello friends! Guess who is seeing the Vet today to have the PH in his pee tested?

Here's a hint, he's NOT sleek and black.

If you guessed Busby, you're RIGHT!
Our Vet wants to follow up to see if the Carpon (cranberry supplement) Busby is taking has helped lower the PH of his pee. Hopefully it has and we won't have to worry about crystals forming again. We'll let you know when we get the results.
Have a great Friday everyone! xo, Raymond

Your Tuesday Tonkinese: The Haircut

Our non-blogging Mom is a good hair cutter. I can never resist getting up into the chair for a little styling.
Ooooh, the combing makes my laser beam eyes turn on!

Just a little off the top please Mom!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Friday Frootbat

Hello! Raymond here. I've been BUSY this week keeping things clean. Like my blog-hogging brother's tiny, NON-frootbatty ears.

And my own lovely toes.

And my handsome face.

And check out these shiny FROOTBAT ears! Squeaky clean!

Have a great Friday friends!

Thankful Thursday

Yesterday we received a package from our friends The Kewl Kittie Krew! You may remember that they had a drawing to celebrate their Mom's birthday. Their sister 'bean Wren (we think that's a delicious name) pulled our names out of the hat & we WON the drawing.

The prize in the drawing were some tuxie cat bookends, but Raymond and I were THRILLED to find MANY other goodies in the box.

Wow! Lot's of treats like Temptations & Party Mix & something called "Natural Sensations". We can't wait to try them ALL.

There were also some toys! My favorite is the furry white mousie. Plus there was some catnip!

Our Mom likes the bookends (we gave 'em a good sniff) and Raymond and I LOVE the toys and the treats!

The box is a nice size for sitting in too. Well, maybe it's a BIT snug for my muscular mancat frame.

We are thankful to our friends The Kool Kittie Krew for sending us this cool prize, and we're thankful to their sister 'bean Wren for drawing our names! Happy Thursday friends!

Wordless Wednesday-The Video

I'm feeling better! I was having a great time with the turbo scratcher yesterday until the thunder disturbed my playtime.

Your (tiny) Tuesday Tonkinese

Hello friends! Behold the fair-haired boy with cheeks of tan. Did you recognize me? I was about six weeks old, still living at my foster Mom's house.
Hmmm, I wonder whatever happened to that scratching post? Maybe I can go visit my foster Mom and give it a good scratch for old time's sake? Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Man(ning)Cat Monday

Our Colts and their quarterback Peyton MANCAT-ning played very well this past weekend. It was YUMMY to watch.
Okay, I am just covering up. I licked my nose during this photo shoot.
In other news, thanks again for all the support around my FUS. Our Vet has me trying a pill that contains cranberry extract. My Mom is adding Vitamin C to my raw food. I still have several days of Baytril pills to swallow. My pee will be tested again in a couple weeks. I'm feeling better everyday.
Happy MANCAT Monday everyone!

A Little Stressed on Sunday

Hi, Busby here. We heard from our Vet yesterday. My pee sample had some crystals in it. Not really sure what is causing the crystals. Raymond and I eat a raw diet that our Mom makes for us each week. The recipe is from the book "Natural Health" by Dr Richard Pitcairn.
My Moms think that they need to add some Vitamin C to our food. It's optional in the recipe, and they are kicking themselves for not adding it all this time. Vitamin C would help keep the crystals from forming because it would keep my pee more acidic.

If any of you cats have any advice for us, please leave us a comment. We don't want to stop eating our raw food. It has made Raymond's itchy skin go away, and except for the crystals, we are both very healthy cats. Mom went out yesterday and found Vitamin C that is in capsules and will be easy to mix into our food.

Thanks friends. Have a peaceful Sunday. xoxo, Busby

A Most Unusual Day

Yesterday was not what we had planned. I had to make an unscheduled trip to the VET! I made eight visits to the cat box in about thirty minutes yesterday morning. That's not good. My Moms made a call to our Vet. Dr Good rearranged her schedule so she could see us right away. Here I am ready to go. Can you see my HUGE SCARDY eyes? (these photos aren't the best. Mom was preoccupied) Our Vet has a mobile clinic. She usually comes to our house. Yesterday we drove about a mile and met her before she saw one of her scheduled patients. This is the logo on the side of her big shiny mobile clinic. I think MY picture should be on the side of her clinic.

Here's Doctor Good and my (non-blogging) Mom. This Mom is a nurse for people, so she likes to assist our Vet. There was a Vet Tech on board too, but she was busy calling people and rearranging Dr. Good's busy Friday schedule. You can't see me, I am on the examining table having UNSPEAKABLE things done to me.

Good news! No blockage! But I had blood drawn and I gave a urine sample. I got a shot of Baytril and some pills to take for the next ten days. Dr. Good suspects I have a UTI. Notice how I am holding my tail firmly against my, um, rear end? Too late, she had all ready taken my temperature.

I am home and taking it EASY the rest of the weekend. Sorry we didn't get to visit any bloggies yesterday. Raymond dropped by Gracie's birthday party but that was all the visiting we could do.
Raymond wants me to tell everyone that he has his eye on the Indianapolis Colts today and he is rooting for them! THANKS again to everyone who heard about my Vet trip at Gracie's party or on facebook yesterday and sent purrs and good vibes. And a big thank you to our GREAT Vet, Dr. Hannah Good!
xoxo, Busby

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday:
A Poem-by Raymond
When Busby HOGS the sunny spot-
(Like the piggy that he is)
And tells me that I can't come there to nap,
Do I get upset with him,
And whap him on the head?
I don't, because I have my Mommy's LAP!
Busby (the sunny spot piggy) and I hope you all have something to be thankful for today! xo, Raymond

Wordy Wednesday

Hi Cats! We had a nice surprise the other day. (we have actually had a few surprises lately, but that's for another blog post) Our friends the Four Crazy Cats gave us the Superior Scribbler Award! (here we are pictured below, looking for reporters and pawpawrazzi to come interview us!)
The Superior Scribbler Award was started by The Scholastic Scribe to celebrate their 200th post. To read more about the Superior Scribbler Award click HERE.

As with every award, there are some rules that need to be followed:
1-Each Superior Scribbler (SS) must pass the Award on to 5 deserving blogger friends.
2-Each SS must link the author and name of the blog from whom he/she received the award.
3-Each SS must display the award on his/her blog and link to the post which explains the award.
4-Each SS is asked to visit the post which explains the award and add his/her name to the Mr. Linky List.
5-Each SS must post these rules on his/her blog.
We are supposed to pass this award on to five more blogger friends. That's one of the five rules. (jeez!) We are going to wait and do that at a later date.
Thanks to our friends Devon, Tanner, Smokey and angel cat Mojo for giving us this cool award!

Your Tuesday Tonkinese

Greetings Hipsters! My Mom (in an effort to be cool and groovy) got a new iPhone app called "Hipstamatic". It's basically a camera application for your iPhone that takes photos that look like an old Polaroid. I tried to be patient as she stuck that stupid phone in my face and snapped away.

Can you tell I am getting a bit tired of posing at this point? Those wacky humans and their cameras. Sheesh!

I think I should get extra Greenies for being such a good little poser. Have a good day friends, and be patient with your humans! xoxo
