Frootbat Friday-Counter Surfing

Hello friends! Happy Friday! Do any of you like to counter surf? It's one of my favorite things to do. Notice the slightly opened cabinet behind me? That's where Mom keeps the cat treats. I like to slide my slender little arms in there and try to pull the treat bag out onto the counter.

Foiled again!
Unfortunately, my Moms put "baby locks" on all the cabinets! One of these days I am going to figure out how to open those darn things!

Have a terrific weekend! xoxo, Raymond

Thursday Garden Stroll

Oh HAI, friends! Are you ready for today's garden stroll? Today is really a stroll through time, because we are going to follow our eggplant as it grows up!

I'm waving "HAI"!

Back in April we started some seeds indoors for a container Eggplant variety called "Little Prince". Here it is a few weeks after it germinated.

Baby Eggplant. Do they call them hatchlings? On account of the whole egg thing...

We waited until the temperatures were consistently in the 50's overnight and then we transplanted our seedlings outdoors.
They have very big leaves. We wish they were catnip.

Soon our eggplants were thriving and they grew to be about 2 - 3 feet tall with pretty purple flowers.

They have prickly leaves with thorns on them. Very weird.

Then yesterday we discovered this! Our first little eggplants are forming! We are VERY excited! We've never grown eggplants before.

Our little purple eggplant!

Mom says we can't eat them, but they sure look like they might be fun to whap!

Thanks for visiting friends! Don't forget to check out the other Feline Gardners. xoxo, Raymond

Mancats on Monday

Hello friends! Happy Monday! We spent quite a bit of time this past weekend relaxing in our puss-print recliner.

No Mom, you cannot sit here now. We are very comfy here.

For awhile, I sat in this reusable bag after our Moms came home from the grocery store. In fact, I squished a box of crackers that they didn't unpack fast enough. Oops. (hee hee)
To avoid future smooshed crackers, I suggest you unpack the bags a bit faster...

I sat on top the tv while Mom watched football on Sunday and pretended to be disinterested.

PS-I'm NOT pretending.

One of the highlights of the weekend was that we got some actual RAIN! Yep, it rained a bit on Saturday morning and then we had a nice shower on Sunday afternoon. It's great for the sweet pea seeds that Mom just planted, and for the Winter greens she planted too.

We hope you all had a great weekend and are having a wonderful Monday too.

Frootbat Friday!

Hello Frootbat fans! Mom cut the tips of my frootbatty ears off in this photo, but I don't care, because I am NOMMING on delicious frootbat grass!

Happy Friday friends! I hope you have a terrific weekend!

Thursday Garden Stroll

Hello friends! We have a pretty boring garden stroll today. Mom has been working a lot and the weather has been weird and there is no time to be in the garden and blah blah blah.

Getting pretty sick of your excuses MOM.

Anyway, here is a fairly recent shot of our garden and you can see the Cosmos have taken over the world and are crowding out the Zinnias and the Morning Glories. Mom plans to not plant so many Cosmos seeds next year. Or maybe plant them in a different bed.

It's like a jungle out there!

In the front of our house, our NON-blog Mom has planted a fig tree. She is very excited as we have all ready killed off one fig tree. This one looks like it just might survive. It even has tiny figs on it but our weather isn't very warm so they are not getting ripe. Yet.

Mmmm, figs.

You may recall that our human Uncle and Aunt were visiting. Here's our Blog-Mom and her brother playing golf in Half Moon Bay, CA. Yeah. Mom is too busy working to garden. Uh huh.

Nice glove, Mom.

Thanks for coming with us on our stroll today! Don't forget to visit the other (way more awesome) gardens today all over the blogosphere!   xoxo, Raymond

YES! A reusable bag!

Flatbat Friday

Hello friends! Yep, these are Flatbats. Airplane ears.

Jeez! Keep the noise down in there!

Thursday Garden Stroll

Hello friends! Here I am, relaxing on my blog Mom's ample lap. Today we are strolling in Renee's Garden! Renee is my blog Mom's employer and the owner of Renee's Garden Seed company.

My eyes get slitty when I am relaxed.

Mom has a rough job. For example, one day she and her coworkers had to sample different varieties of cherry tomatoes to help determine which seeds Renee may add to her line for next season.

Here's a GINORMOUS pumpkin growing up at Renee's. Next month Mom and her co-workers get to go up and
carve jack o'lanterns.

Here's our Non-blog Mom harvesting basil at Renee's.
That's a LOT of pesto!

Thanks for strolling with me today! Don't forget to check out the other feline gardeners! xoxo, Raymond

Tongue on Tuesday

Hi friends! Mom insisted on taking photos of my bath time!

Busby touched me here.

Gotta get it clean.

Must use...

FULL tongue extension!

Happy Tuesday friends! Hope you are having a nice squeaky clean day!  xoxo, Raymond

Mancat, er, DOG Monday

No, we did NOT change into DOGS during our time away from blogging. Mom was just too lazy busy to take new photos of us. She DID, however, take this photo of Mr Peabody, who is a woofie that comes to her office sometimes. A old geezer woofie. Who is not a CAT. On a CAT blog.

We're not TOO jealous. Not. much.

Sleeping on the job!

No, not ME sleeping on the job. (sleeping IS my job!) Our Blog-Mom is sleeping on the job. She totally spaced out getting our Garden Stroll post up today. Plus, (here's a new excuse) our human Uncle and Aunt are visiting this weekend from Indiana.

So most likely we won't have any new posts until Monday. Sorry friends! We love you all and will see you next week.

Tuesday Tonkinese

Hi friends! I was just warming my ears in the sun when Mom came up and stuck the camera in my face.

Why do you have to bother me when the sun is streaming through my furs?

Naturally, I HAD to investigate the camera, being a curious cat and all that. It resulted in this EXTREME close up!

I hope this scary photo taught Mom a lesson about not bugging me when I am in the sunny-sun!

Happy Tuesday friends!

Mancat(s) Monday

Hullo friends! Happy Labor Day! Busby and I started out the day honoring labor by doing NOTHING!

Hmmm, this green mousie is looking at me funny.

That green mousie was bugging me, so I had to show him who's boss around here!

Come here you nasty mousie!

Let me tell you that the mousie was full of deliciousness! I think he had cat nip guts. Yummy! I bunny-kicked him a few times just for fun.
Mousie, you taste good.

While I was having fun with the mousie, Busby kept right on napping. We both celebrate Labor Day in our own way!

Keep it down over there Raymond, I'm trying to snooze.

We hope you are celebrating Labor Day in your own way too!
Have a pawsome day!

Togetherness on Friday

We wanted to call this "Frootbats Friday" but Mom vetoed it. Just a couple dudes having a nice nap as we head into the long weekend. (well, as we head into a long weekend for most folks here in the US)

Happy Friday friends! We hope you and your humans have a very lovely weekend. xoxo, Raymond and Busby

Thursday Garden Stroll

Hello friends! Welcome to our Thursday garden stroll. I told Mom this isn't a very good photo of me, but she insisted on using it anyway. (*sheesh!*) Oh well, are you ready to take a short stroll? Let's go!

NOT a good photo MOM.

This is our "mystery" citrus tree. Our neighbor got it from Home Depot (For free. Don't ask.) and it was sitting next to the curb in it's black plastic pot for weeks with no one taking care of it. Finally Mom asked if we could have it. We repotted it and it is very happy in our backyard. It had no tag, so we have no idea what kind of citrus tree it is. Hope to find out soon when these flowers turn into fruit. (We'll keep you posted!)

Mystery citrus. What do you think it is?

This is probably the last of these Blue Ensign Morning Glories until next Spring. They have lasted a long time, but now they are being overrun by the Cosmos. We will definitely plant more of these seeds next season.

So pretty!
The Cosmos have taken over the flower bed, and the bees are very happy about it. This bee was so loaded down with pollen she could barely fly!

Bees love the Cosmos and we love the bees!

Thanks for visiting our garden today! Don't forget to check ou the other Feline Gardners all over the blogosphere.
