We want to wish all of our friends a very Merry Christmas! We are looking forward to a happy and healthy New Year here at our house and we wish the same for all of you! We're taking a week off from blogging, but we will see you again in the New Year! xoxo, Raymond and Busby

Frootbat Friday and an Early Christmas Gift!

Hey there friends! Happy Friday before Christmas! Mom couldn't resist giving us a couple early gifts. Here I am with a Wooly Dust Bunny from Purrfectplay. I ran all around the house chasing this thing, and then I put it on the couch where I could keep an eye on it while I caught my breath!

In other news, our Blog-Mom is having her surgery today. She is both nervous and eager to get it over with. We'll be doing a post on Saturday and we'll let you know how things went.

Happy Friday! xoxo, Raymond

Thursday Dibs and Dabs

It's an odd week here (well, MORE odd than usual) because our Blog Mom is having surgery on Friday so she is busy tying up odds and ends at work. She'll be off work for one or two weeks post-op, depending on what the doctor does. No new photos of US today, but here is our new human second cousin Lenora and one of her three cat sisters. This is Estelle saying hello!

We suspect that our blogging will be sporadic after the 23rd, but we are going to try to do some visiting at least. Again, not sure how Mom is going to feel post op. Hopefully she will at least help us visit a bit for Christmas.

Happy Thursday friends! xoxo, Raymond and Busby

Your Tuesday Calico!?!?

Hello friends! Well our little cousin Lenora came home from the hospital on Sunday and got to meet her sister cats. She has FOUR of them, which is WAY too many GIRL cats if you ask us!

Lenora and Lily-cat

Here she is with Lily, who (as you can see) is a Calico girl who has a LOT of catitude (like all Calico girls do).  Miss Lily is not afraid to get right up and sniff on her new human sister.

We hope to sniff meet Lenora someday too. She'll have to come out here to California because we sure don't plan to travel to Illinois any time soon. We may Skype with her tomorrow, depending on her schedule.

Happy Tuesday! xoxo, Raymond and Busby

Mancat Monday

Hello friends! This is how I intend to spend next week, because our Non-blog Mom has a one week furlough between Christmas and New Year's. She works for the County of Santa Cruz, and the county doesn't have much money. To save money they close down one day a month and the workers have an unpaid day off. To save MORE money they close for a whole week this time of year and the employees have a whole week without pay.

It works out pretty good because our Non-blog Mom will be able to stay home and take care of our Blog-Mom next week, because our Blog-Mom has surgery this Friday. (and I will be able to flop in her lap all week long!) See! Everybody wins! (well, especially ME!)

Happy Monday friends! xoxo, Raymond

Frootbat Friday

Hello friends! Sometimes you just have to share your Frootbat lair with your brother who is not as frootbatty as you are. Just sayin'.

Have a terrific weekend! We are excited because our Human Niece had a baby on Thursday. She is HUGE, 9 lbs, 12 oz. Which is surprising because our Niece is not so big. She all ready has FOUR cat sisters at her house, so we know she will have plenty of big sisters to look after her. Her name is Lenora Nelson Donohue. Welcome Lenora!

Thursday stroll

Hello friends! Happy Thursday! Do you like the way this rug highlights my eyes? There is a heat vent under this rug, so when the furnace is on, I like to lay here. Too bad it's right in front of the kitchen sink and our Moms complain we are in the way. Not our fault!

Last weekend our Moms went to a local park, Henry Cowell State Park. It's located in Felton, CA where our BlogMom works. There are coast redwood trees there!

Our NonBlog Mom on a Thursday stroll.

Can you believe these trees are over 100 years old? They are even older than our Moms! (MOL!) Seriously, these trees date back to the 1600's. They are truly ancient redwoods.

This tree below is called the "Fremont Tree" and is one of the tallest trees in the park. It is 280 feet tall and 16 feet around. We'd like to climb these trees!

Thanks for strolling through the coastal redwoods with us! Have a great day! xoxo, Busby

Your Tuesday Tonkinese

Hi friends! I know Santa Paws will be making a visit to our house. I wonder if he knows that all I really want for Christmas is a pair of Mom's shoes to cuddle?

Happy Tuesday! xoxo, Busby

Mancat(s) Monday

Hi Friends! We get a fresh pot of cat grass every Saturday and lately we have been getting a new one mid-week too. Mom gets two at the farmers market and lets one grow out on our porch and replaces our nommed-out cat grass with it.

Are we lucky or what? YUM!

In other news, our Blog-Mom is having some surgery on Dec 23rd. Nothing serious. However, pre-op appointments and post op aches and pains and the holidays may keep us from blogging regularly in the next few weeks. Just giving you a head's up. You can always check us out on Facebook, we go there sometimes.

Happy Monday! xoxo, Raymond and Busby

Frootbat Friday

Hello friends, happy Friday! Does your Mom ever do that thing where she will either bring out of hiding a toy that you forgot you had and then you think you have a NEW toy? Well, in my case, our Mom moved our old blue cat tree from one spot in the house to another and now I totally LOVE it again! (I was kind of ignoring it before.)

I forgot how much I LOVE this cat tree! It's my frootbat cave!

Happy Friday and have a fab weekend! xoxo, Raymond

Thursday stroll

Hello friends! I am practicing my frootbats for Friday. Since our garden is pretty boring this time of year, would you like to go on a short stroll around our town instead of our garden?

We have had very odd weather. Cold, warm, windy, no rain. It's odd. These Irises are confused!

We had a very bad windstorm last week. It knocked down a LOT of trees. Over 100 homes were damaged. (luckily, not ours) The leaves in this photo probably blew about a zillion miles away due to the wind!

Our town gets very quiet this time of year because the tourists don't visit very much in the Winter. Our Moms LOVE it! This is a photo of our beach and the Capitola wharf. Not many people!

Happy Thursday friends, or as Mom has started calling it "Friday eve". (she only started calling it that after she got a JOB!)

Wordy Wednesday

ACTION SHOT!!! (you can totally see my fierce teeth in this photo!)

Friends, our Moms got us some toys from Purrfect Play , which is this very cool cat and dog toy company. They make great stuff, without plastic or dye or toxic yucky-ness. (have you noticed almost all the toys in the stores come from China?) Our BlogMom especially likes Purrfect Play because they are in her home state of Indiana, not far from the town she grew up in.

We read on Facebook that they are selling out of a lot of their toys right now, so tell your humans to hurry up and order you some great stuff for Christmas. (or Chanukah or Kwanzaa or just because they want to get you a treat.)

Mom got us more than one toy but we get the feeling we won't see the others til Christmas.

Purrfect Play didn't give us any freebies or even know we were going to tell you about them. This is completely unsolicited!

Have a great Wednesday! xoxo, Busby

Tuesday Tonkinese

Friends, do you think it's fair when your Mom posts a photo that makes your butt look ginormous???

Jeez!

Have a great Tuesday friends! xoxo, Busby

Mancat Monday

Hello friends! Our Non-blog Mom really appreciated having my beautiful long tail in her face last night. MOL!

I caught Raymond's cooties and was kind of sicky on Saturday, but I feel better now. I didn't vomit or anything, I was just not my normal self for about 24 hours. We're both fine now.

Our Mac is fine too! Our Moms took it to the Apple store in Monterey (just south of here) and they said it had a little software problem and they fixed it for FREE. Our Moms were delighted.

Happy Monday! xoxo, Busby

Feeling Better Friday

Hi friends! Well your purrs and good wishes helped! I am feeling much better. I think the chicken broth our non-blog Mom made helped too. Thank you everyone!

Unfortunately, our big computer is not so good. Our Moms will take it to the Apple store tomorrow. Fingers crossed that it can be repaired. Meanwhile we are blogging on the iPad. Not great.

The weather here has been crazy! We've had a windstorm for the past two days and there are trees down everywhere. We hope things are okay where you are!

XO, Raymond
