Surprisingly, the pink Hibiscus that lives in a container on the front porch has bloomed.
Mom took this photo yesterday, when we had about 15 minutes of sunshine. Sunflowerzilla continues it's upward climb. We've been keeping an eye on the sunflower because a GOPHER managed to dig UNDER the gopher-wire and eat the root off one of the smaller sunflowers.
Here's another shot of sunflowerzilla. On the right is our little Black Jack Fig tree. The sunflower is almost as tall as the fig tree! We hope the gopher doesn't get it, we can't wait to see what the flower looks like.

Check out the Zinnias! Their flowers are so close to bursting open! We think if the weather would cooperate they would all ready be blooming. Oh well, the ups and downs of gardening! We are sure next Thursday we will be posting photos of the blooms.

Here's an overview of the garden. We live in a manufactured home in a mobile home park, so we have a postage stamp sized yard. We really think the garden makes the yard look bigger!

See this digging at the bottom of this photo? We saw a skunk out here last evening and we think it was digging for worms in our flower bed. Busby and I both stared at the skunk from our windowsill until Mom v e r y c a r e f u l l y closed the window.
