Frootbat Friday-Counter Surfing

Hello friends! Happy Friday! Do any of you like to counter surf? It's one of my favorite things to do. Notice the slightly opened cabinet behind me? That's where Mom keeps the cat treats. I like to slide my slender little arms in there and try to pull the treat bag out onto the counter.

Foiled again!
Unfortunately, my Moms put "baby locks" on all the cabinets! One of these days I am going to figure out how to open those darn things!

Have a terrific weekend! xoxo, Raymond

Thursday Garden Stroll

Oh HAI, friends! Are you ready for today's garden stroll? Today is really a stroll through time, because we are going to follow our eggplant as it grows up!

I'm waving "HAI"!

Back in April we started some seeds indoors for a container Eggplant variety called "Little Prince". Here it is a few weeks after it germinated.

Baby Eggplant. Do they call them hatchlings? On account of the whole egg thing...

We waited until the temperatures were consistently in the 50's overnight and then we transplanted our seedlings outdoors.
They have very big leaves. We wish they were catnip.

Soon our eggplants were thriving and they grew to be about 2 - 3 feet tall with pretty purple flowers.

They have prickly leaves with thorns on them. Very weird.

Then yesterday we discovered this! Our first little eggplants are forming! We are VERY excited! We've never grown eggplants before.

Our little purple eggplant!

Mom says we can't eat them, but they sure look like they might be fun to whap!

Thanks for visiting friends! Don't forget to check out the other Feline Gardners. xoxo, Raymond

Mancats on Monday

Hello friends! Happy Monday! We spent quite a bit of time this past weekend relaxing in our puss-print recliner.

No Mom, you cannot sit here now. We are very comfy here.

For awhile, I sat in this reusable bag after our Moms came home from the grocery store. In fact, I squished a box of crackers that they didn't unpack fast enough. Oops. (hee hee)
To avoid future smooshed crackers, I suggest you unpack the bags a bit faster...

I sat on top the tv while Mom watched football on Sunday and pretended to be disinterested.

PS-I'm NOT pretending.

One of the highlights of the weekend was that we got some actual RAIN! Yep, it rained a bit on Saturday morning and then we had a nice shower on Sunday afternoon. It's great for the sweet pea seeds that Mom just planted, and for the Winter greens she planted too.

We hope you all had a great weekend and are having a wonderful Monday too.
 xoxo, Raymond and Busby

Frootbat Friday!

Hello Frootbat fans! Mom cut the tips of my frootbatty ears off in this photo, but I don't care, because I am NOMMING on delicious frootbat grass!

Happy Friday friends! I hope you have a terrific weekend!

Thursday Garden Stroll

Hello friends! We have a pretty boring garden stroll today. Mom has been working a lot and the weather has been weird and there is no time to be in the garden and blah blah blah.

Getting pretty sick of your excuses MOM.

Anyway, here is a fairly recent shot of our garden and you can see the Cosmos have taken over the world and are crowding out the Zinnias and the Morning Glories. Mom plans to not plant so many Cosmos seeds next year. Or maybe plant them in a different bed.

It's like a jungle out there!

In the front of our house, our NON-blog Mom has planted a fig tree. She is very excited as we have all ready killed off one fig tree. This one looks like it just might survive. It even has tiny figs on it but our weather isn't very warm so they are not getting ripe. Yet.

Mmmm, figs.

You may recall that our human Uncle and Aunt were visiting. Here's our Blog-Mom and her brother playing golf in Half Moon Bay, CA. Yeah. Mom is too busy working to garden. Uh huh.

Nice glove, Mom.

Thanks for coming with us on our stroll today! Don't forget to visit the other (way more awesome) gardens today all over the blogosphere!   xoxo, Raymond
