ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz.............
Huh?! Oh HI friends! I was just having a snooze. Have you ever wondered why we have that weird unusable toe-looking thing? You know, that little extra toe thing? It doesn't even have a claw on it. What the heck is it for?
Speaking of claws, my smashed claw is much better and all healed after the BAG monster incident. My Mom was going to clip my nails last night, but they are all still pretty short. I think I ran them all to the nubbins running from that bag monster!
That extra toe thing used to be a thumb. It would be fun to have thumbs, wouldn't it?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your smashed paw is healing up! That was a terrible experience you went through!
ReplyDeleteNow I'll be thinking about that all day!

There must be some reason you have that toe thing. Maybe it is just a fashion statement. Who knows?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the mastiff linky.
Slobbers,
Mango
Poor smashed paw. I am glad it is getting better.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad your smashed paw is healing! We think that extra 'useless' claw is just for balance...or chewing...whichever is more convenient.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are healing...cute toes :)
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon, Bus!...Maybe the extra toe is for balance?...Too bad they aren't real thumbs=we would rule the world!!MOL...kitty kisses handsome boy...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteWe have always wondered about that extra toe also.
ReplyDeleteWe're happy to hear you're feeling better, Bus. xxxxxxxxxx

ReplyDeleteHi Busby, I read somewhere that the extra toe-pad thingy is to help kitties put on the brakes if they are skidding and sliding.
ReplyDeleteIm glad your claw is almost all better :-)
Hi Furriends!!! We've missed you! Sorry to hear you hurted your paw. Hope it's feeling better!
ReplyDeleteTickle, tickle, tickle....
ReplyDeleteHeeheehee!!
that woman found this online about our 'heel'
ReplyDelete"This is what is left of a residual "heel" (more like the heel of your hand than your foot.)that has evolved up higher in cats and other 4-legged creatures.
Press you fingers flat against the floor, palm lifted toward you.
Think of your cat as walking this way. Up where the heel of your hand
is, is the same as where your cat's extra pad is..."
there you have it. Myself; I don't need brakes. If you see me coming at 100mph; get out of my way. I'm busy chasing something or running away from something and in either case silly human, I have the RIGHT OF WAY!
xoxo
