Mancat Monday

I'm NOT ready for Monday!

Hi friends, for those of you who asked, the term "Rode hard and put up wet" refers to a horse who was ridden hard and put away wet without drying him or brushing him out. Basically, it means you are looking pretty rough. It's a term our Mom grew up hearing in Indiana, so we guess it's an American Midwest term. So now you know!

Have a pawsome Monday friends! I'm continuing my easy Sunday...

xoxo, Busby

  2. My human says there are horses not far from here - somewhere called "Burbank" - but there is not enough room to ride them very hard! That makes me feel a little bad for them - I am sure they get the zoomies, just like we cats do!

  15. Yep, mum knows that phrase about horsies! It wasn't good to put up a horse wet. They get all sick, muscles that might bind up etc.

  16. Our friend from Oklahoma used to say that!

Hey, boys, did you feel our little temblor this afternoon? Just a reminder from Mother Earth! Epicenter was Pacifica & it was under 4.0 so might not have made its way south.

  17. Our mom has heard that before and she thinks it's funny! Sometimes we look a little rough when we forget to smooth our furs after a tongue bath.
