Thursday Garden Stroll

Hello friends! Welcome to our weekly garden stroll. We don't have a very thrilling stroll this week. Mom didn't get around to taking many photos. Something about going back to work, getting her stitches out, blah blah blah. (humans! sheesh!)

The only real news this week is that our Moms laid down some drip irrigation in our vegetable beds. It's a good way to conserve water and get water right to the root of the plants. Plus weeds don't grow as much because they aren't getting any water.
The other news is that we got this metal rooster to keep an eye on our plants. He's pretty cool. We're trying to think of a name for him. Any suggestions?

That's it for this week. (yawn!) Hopefully we will have more actual PLANT photos for you next week! xoxo, Busby

  1. The area where my human planted the limp, scraggly catnip has drip irrigation. Sadly, it does not seem to be helping. (Sigh.)

  2. We LOVE that rooster. Maybe he should be called "Cocky-locky" like the rooster in the English Fairy Tale:

Gotta get back to mom know as she is still poorly.

    Love Alfie xx

  3. That's a cool rooster!! We're sure you'll come up with a good name for him!!

  4. Mommy says Foghorn Leghorn would be a good name for the rooster. Something about a TV show she watched a zillion years ago.

Please come by our garden we are celebrating Scylla's Gotcha Day there.

  5. We like your rooster too! And we hope the irrigation works well.

We finally did a gardening post today, but there's still not much to see, as spring really is only starting here.

  6. Love the rooster! We can't wait to see how the irrigation helps your plants this year!

  7. HA! That rooster is so cool, I'd call him Planter!

  8. Your Rooster is very colorful!! We have drip irrigation too. We still lose lots of plants to Mom's black thumb.

  9. Hey Raymond and Busby, Mombean is allowing me to be part of the Society of Feline Gardeners. Check out my first post!!

  10. Hi Boyz! Love the rooster; all I can think of is Rocky the Rhode Island Red from the movie Chicken Run (which was friggin hilarous by the way). Rocky was played by Mel Gibson. Rocky was called the 'Lone Free Ranger' Har Har.

  11. Chanticleer. I think it sounds dumb but the Human teachers Chaucer so whatever.

  12. Oh cool! We LOVE your rooster!

My mom is partial to Foghorn Leghorn because she loves him and he makes her laugh.

Give us a meow, or a purr or a headbutt. No hisses please!
