Black Cat Appreciation Day!

Happy Black Cat Appreciation Day! Our blogmom started appreciating black cats way back in 1985 when she rescued Alex from the county animal shelter.

Alex as a tiny baby mancat.

Alex was an OLDE mancat age 19 when Busby and I came to live here in our forever home. I tried be be just like Alex, because us black cats always stick together.

Alex on the left and me on the right.  He really liked that spot on the couch.

Even when Alex was having the final stages of CRF and had to sleep on pee pads, I stuck by him.

Sometimes I even sat right on TOP of Alex, but he never complained or hissed at me. Black cats stick together through thick and thin!

So on this Black Cat Appreciation day, THIS black cat appreciates the black cat who came before. ALEX! He went to the rainbow bridge at the ripe olde age of 23. We miss you Alex!

Love and purrs, Raymond

  4. Mom has always been a fan of black cats ~ she thinks they are adorable. She adopted 2 beautiful black panther cats in her twenties, from a rescue shelter ~ and now some 30 years later she still loves and misses them. They were very special.

In the UK black cats are considered to bring good luck ~ especially if one walks across your path.

Yoor Alex was a very special cat and we can tell that yoo all still love him. xx
