Mancat Monday - Special Guest edition!

See this Mancat? He's the introoder cat who is always walking through our yard, sleeping in our carport, looking in our front screen door and basically BUGGING Busby and me. (well, mostly ME. Busby doesn't much care about introoder cats.) We noticed he has his manbits intact, and he keeps getting into fights in the neighborhood. He has a big scratch on his nose, you can't see it in this photo because he has his nose in the stinky goodness our MOMS are feeding him.

This guy is pretty skinny and nobody takes care of him so now (for some reason) our Moms have started to feed him and talk sweetly to him. He NAPPED on our FRONT PORCH all day today! I don't care for it one bit. I put on my Flatbat ears and stare at him. He bugs me. Mom says that eventually  he will go to the SPCA where they can fix him (is he broken?) and where hopefully they will find a good home for him. Our local SPCA is a no-kill shelter, so Mom thinks it would be best to get this guy off the streets and into a shelter before the weather gets more Wintery.

Meanwhile I am going to try to stop worrying about this introoder cat moving in with Busby and Me. I guess I am lucky that my Mom-cat was rescued before I was born on the street and had to live outside like this guy does.

Have a good Monday friends! And wish us luck that this introoder cat finds a good forever home. xoxo, Raymond

  2. You are indeed very lucky, Raymond! That intruder has a very unhappy life, I can guarantee you that. I hope that at the very least the SPCA will be able to neuter him so that he does not breed more homeless kitties. And even more, I hope he is friendly enough to find a real home.

  3. That introoder must have a kind a rough life getting into fights and such. Getting his manbits removed sounds like a very good idea.

  4. I sure hope that guy takes his trip soon to the SPCA because if he keeps eating your foodables you will starve to death.

  5. Aw, look at his sweet white paws. :-)

We're glad your moms are feeding him and will purr that he'll be caught easily enough, so he can be "fixed."

Some no-kill shelters, depending on their set-up, have a down side, too, in that cats can end up living for years in tiny cages, with no room to roam or play or interact with other cats. But if you have a *good* shelter, with lots of space and toys, etc., it's certainly better than the alternatives.

  8. We hope that they can catch the introoder cat and get him fixed and that he is friendly enough to be adoptable - if not, you may have to deal with the introoder..... :)

  11. Gee Raymond, we would probably be hissy if an introoder was in our yard too. However, you make a good point, he probably does not have a cozy home like we do. WE purr that your Moms can catch him and he can eventually find a good home.

  12. That's awesome that your moms are feeding the sweet introoder and that he'll be fixed...even if he isn't broken. We are concerned like Fuzzy Tales to make sure that he will be fussed over and loved at the shelter and that he does have a good chance to find forever love and happiness.

  13. It's kinda sad that the introoder doesn't have anybuddy taking care of him. We're glad your moms are feeding him now. Hopefully once he's at the shelter, he can find a furever home!
