Raymond and Busby allowed me to take over the posting today. Today is World Aids Day and as a blogger, I wanted to remind my readers that even though we don't hear about AIDS on the news much anymore, HIV/AIDS is still touching the lives of millions of men, women and children everyday around the world.
If you have time, go to the link above and read about what you can do increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve HIV/AIDS education.
Today (and everyday) I remember my little brother, James who passed away from AIDS in 1989.
Thanks friends.
My human's brother died from AIDS in 1991. So she understands.
ReplyDeleteI do not know anyone who died of AIDS. But I will remember James for you, gladly.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your brother. He looks like he was a very sweet brother to you. I was just remarking to a friend how we don't hear much about AIDS anymore lately. I will definitely think about you remembering James today
ReplyDeleteWe're so sorry your brother passed and are sending (((hugs))) and Light to you.
ReplyDeleteThe mom just saw an interview with Stephen Lewis (Canadian diplomat who has done a lot to bring awareness to AIDS in Africa in particular) a couple of days ago, very timely.

ReplyDeleteMommy lost a great friend to AIDS, it is a terrible disease. We send purrs and hugs to you on the loss of your brother James. We hope he sees your post and feels your love today, and everyday.
ReplyDeleteHow very sorry we are that you lost your James to AIDs. My human sister will be going to Ethiopia in january, on a mission trip to help people living with AIDs there. Now they are receiving drugs to help them live, but many have previously lost husbands and children and parents to AIDs, so there is a great sense of loss..
ReplyDeleteWe will join paws and purr in honor of James.
ReplyDeleteI am so, so sorry for your loss... we're purring for you and for his memory.
